Course Description
A significant body of research finds that many abused children are impacted spiritually or have religious questions pertaining to the maltreatment. Failing to address these questions may impact a child physically and emotionally.
Learning Objectives
1. Cite recent research regarding maltreatment and the religious impact it poses on victims.
2. Explain how failure to adequately address religious questions of victims may lead to additional physical and emotional harm.
3. Identify at least 2 strategies for multidisciplinary teams to follow to address these issues and develop effective collaborations with faith communities.
