Personal Safety Building Blocks: Consent and Empathy for Professionals
Course Description
Consent and Empathy are two required values in building a world that respects the safety and dignity of others. Parents and professionals have asked for resources to make loaded conversations around sexual violence prevention manageable and empowering. This presentation answers that request by providing tools on teaching consent and empathy to children and teens using positive moments of connection. We will spend some time on the WHY, but most of the time will be spent on the HOW so that participants leave feeling equipped and empowered to support kids and teens in a lasting way.
