Online Safety Conversations for Schooling at Home

Course Description

This presentation is for caregivers and professionals who support students attending school online. We will lay a foundation for family discussions and a response to online dangers now and in the future.

Learning Objectives

1. Recognize how the isolation of schooling at home can create the opportunity for youth to engage in risky online behaviors.

2. Express how offenders use isolation and curiosity to break internet safety rules.

3. Plan opportunities to engage in discussions of consent and coercion with children in their care.
