Working with the Non-offending Parent in Intrafamilial Cases of Child Sexual Abuse

Cynthia King, Governor's Sex Offender Assessment Board

Length: 1: 01

This training will address the role of the non-offending parent as the “soother of the waters” in intrafamilial child sexual abuse cases. Discussion will also focus on the resistance of the non-offending parent and their presence on a continuum of “knowing” about the sexual abuse to “not knowing.” Emphasis will be placed on working with the non-offending parent to help the child heal from the sexual abuse.

Due to the recent move of all NCPTC and JWRC programs to the Zero Abuse Project, we are currently conducting a re-organization of our On-Demand Webinar platform. Please check back later or Contact Us.
