This workshops discusses a large body of research documenting the spiritual impact of child abuse and outlines strategies to address the spiritual needs of children before, during and after a forensic interview. Possibilities for addressing these issues as part of medical and mental health care is also discussed. The critical importance of MDTs working with faith leaders is also addressed.
