
Keeping Faith: Advanced Course
Course Description
This course is designed for faith and child protection leaders who have completed any of Zero Abuse Project’s one or two-day Keeping Faith Basic courses. Attendees receive instruction on preventing abuse in vulnerable populations in their faith community – the agenda is individualized for each training. Topic presentations have included protecting children with disabilities, protecting sexual and gender minority youth, an in-depth workshop on the sexual behaviors of youth, domestic violence and spiritual injuries, and a detailed exploration of the cognitive distortions of adult sex offenders. The workshop often includes discussion and interaction with case scenarios to assist the attendees in applying the information received to their respective professions.
