Essentials of Trauma-Informed Care

Course Description

Numerous research studies have shown how childhood stress and trauma can impact adult health. This presentation will increase your knowledge of trauma and provide ways to work with children, families and communities to reduce the impact of trauma. Available as a 90-minute or 3-hour presentation.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand the concept of trauma-informed care.

2. Learn strategies to promote resilience.

3. Identify practical self-care and regulation tips for yourself and those whom you serve.
