
Crime Scene and Online Child Exploitation Investigations (One-Day Experiential Training)
Course Description
Participants will receive and apply instruction on crime scene investigation, technology-facilitated crimes against children investigation, and child abuse suspect interrogation. Each team will have the opportunity to interact with a mock crime scene, seek remotely stored data and other evidence through legal process, interrogate actor(s) portraying child abuse suspects, and make charging decisions based on the results.
Learning Objectives
1. Understand and apply principles of child abuse suspect interrogation.
2. List potential sources of corroborative evidence in technology-facilitated crimes against children.
3. Summarize best practices for legal process in child abuse cases.
