RESEARCH

Zero Abuse Project has published a number of peer reviewed research articles, documents and other scholarly publications that advance the field of child protection. ZAP also funds research that may improve professional responses to child abuse.

If you have a research proposal in mind, please contact us with your idea.

PRIMARY AREAS OF FOCUS FOR NEW RESEARCH INCLUDES:

TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE

ZAP is interested in advancing research to determine the types of trauma-informed care that may work best in a law office, school, medical facility, faith setting, or youth-serving organizations.

CHILD ADVOCACY STUDIES

We want to study the impact and effectiveness of Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) programs at undergraduate and graduate programs throughout the United States.

ANATOMICAL DIAGRAMS

We have interest in research in the study of the utility of anatomical diagrams in a forensic interview, throughout and MDT investigation, and in courts of law.

POLY-VICTIMIZATION SCREENING

ZAP is interested in studying the effectiveness of screening for poly-victimization in cases of suspected child abuse or neglect.
