Biography

Dan Barry is an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigative Specialist with Zero Abuse Project.  He is a retired law enforcement detective with over 20 years of serving and protecting victims of sexual abuse and exploitation.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Administration of Justice from Arizona State University and work as an Internet Crimes Against Children Investigator for 11 years with the Tucson, Arizona Police Department.  He also worked child sex crimes prior to his ICAC experience and finished his career working digital forensics as a member of the Tucson Police Crime Lab.  Dan was the lead investigator in over 150 prosecutions regarding child sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse and regularly provided expert testimony in both state and federal court proceedings.  He has received awards for his service within the Tucson community and from the United States Attorney’s Office.  He has always strived to support victims and hopes to continue that mission with Zero Abuse Project.
