The REAL Academy is a multidisciplinary team (MDT) training service provider and CAST collaborator in North Carolina (NC). The REAL Academy CEO Kevin Marino and Director of Research Robert Wright are releasing a new book exploring the NC child protection landscape and how to improve MDT collaboration via a novel theory known as ‘Administrative Tethering,’ which is a “…strategic management design that employs a series of inter-agency bonding actions and techniques to address the multi-dimensional nature of a complex, pressing public problem” such as child maltreatment and child protection investigation.
This text could be used for CAST faculty to explore a new theoretical framework towards complex MDT interactions and used in coursework tailored to optimizing MDT teamwork.
Additional details about the book can be found here, including a 30% discount when ordering from the Lexington Books official page. The book is also available from other retailers, including Amazon, where patrons may purchase the book via Amazon Smile which allows a portion of the proceeds to go to the charitable organization of their choice, such as Zero Abuse Project, to ensure sustainability of those important agencies and their programs.
