The National Initiative to End Corporal Punishment in partnership with Zero Abuse Project’s Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) program is reaching out to college students across the nation to increase their knowledge about the harms and ineffectiveness of corporal punishment. We need your help identifying students in your classes to take the lead in conducting campus- wide events, posting flyers on campus and/or writing editorials in college publications to increase student’s awareness about the harms of corporal punishment. New York Foundling’s Vincent J. Fontana Center’s Youth Initiative will serve as consultants to student volunteers on how to conduct the events, post flyers and/or write editorials.
This is a FREE kickoff meeting where we will provide higher education faculty and students with helpful toolkits to empower them in their efforts to spread campus-wide awareness about the harm of corporal punishment.
