August 20th, 2019 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
This training, presented by Jane Straub, will help you develop skills necessary to support individuals who have experienced ACEs and trauma.
About this Event
Studies have shown that adverse childhood experiences and traumatic events can have a lasting, negative impact on a person’s health and well-being. This training is designed to help you develop the unique skills needed to support individuals who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and traumatic events.
Part of an organization?
We understand that changing the environment and implementing policies on Trauma Informed Care can be a difficult task. By sending a team to this training, your organization will have the benefit of multiple professionals receiving expert knowledge to bring back to your agency. We believe this is instrumental to agency change, therefore we are offering one FREE registration for every three registrations purchased.
What participants told us they learned:

Jane Straub
Victim Assistance Specialist
Jane is the Victim Assistance Specialist for the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center (JWRC), a program of Zero Abuse Project. In this role, she trains and educates on topics related to violence and prevention, supports families who have a missing loved one and advocates for victims and families struggling with the effects of abuse or neglect.
There are many hotels in the area including a nearby Hilton. There are also a number of Air B&B’s in the area. If you want to be close to restaurants then we suggest staying downtown, and know the Hilton to be a reliable hotel.
Most participants without a vehicle prefer to take Uber or Lyft. The building is on a bus line, so if you check the MTC (Metro Transit) website you can plug in a trip planner which will give you possible bus routes. Have the driver leave you in front of the main entrance where the large surface parking lot is located on the East side of the building.
Address is:
