If I decide to come forward what information will I need?

Answer

Many survivors are scared to come forward during a civil window period because they think they need an inordinate amount of proof but really survivors just need their truth and their story. You know what happened so that’s when you need to talk to a good civil attorney and tell them what you know. You know who abused you you know approximately when it happened and where and you take what you know and what you have. You might have photos you might have friends and family who know. It’s up to the attorney to work with you to figure out exactly what else you need it’s not up to you to worry that you need to meet some substantial burden of proof it is up to you to tell your truth in your story and find a good attorney who will help you get the justice and accountability that you need and deserve and get predators off the street and keep children safer from abuse.
