Researchers Ted Cross and Yu-Ling Chiu have analyzed the implementation of Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) in Mississippi and concluded the “CAST initiative has had considerable success and good prospects for enduring.” This is the 9th peer reviewed and published study on CAST. Read the study here.

The University of Illinois Springfield has partnered with Creative InformationTechnology, Inc. to beta-test app-based software to help modernize and improve childwelfare investigations. CAST students, under the guidance of Dr. Betsy Goulet, will be involved in the preliminary research surrounding these apps.

Students at Wartburg Theological Seminary interacted with numerous child abuse experts and reviewed multiple scientific and theological works related to child abuse. From this work, the students developed a social statement on child abuse and child protection. Zero Abuse Project was honored to consult on this project and hopes this publication will aid faith communities in responding to child abuse.
