The Academy on Violence and Abuse (AVA) is a worldwide organization dedicated to promoting health education and research as it pertains to the recognition, treatment, and prevention of the health effects of violence and abuse throughout the lifespan. As such, AVA has been a long supporter of Zero Abuse Project’s Child Advocacy Studies and Child Advocacy and Adult Studies (CAST, CAAST) programs, serving as a fantastic source of knowledge for child maltreatment topics and data to empower CAST/CAAST faculty with relevant, best practice information and content.
Annually, AVA hosts their Global Health Summit which brings leaders in the field of health education and research to one destination to network and teach others about the newest groundbreaking science and practices in violence and abuse treatment and prevention. As a result, this is an excellent opportunity for CAST leadership and students alike to connect with great minds in the field of violence prevention and intervention. The event will run October 21-22, 2021. Click here to register!
